Infant formula on FB

Post by A+D » Sun Nov 22, 2015 3:48 pm

I was scrolling through FB this morning, and came across a post that had been put on three of our general local community pages, from a bloke wanting to know if any parents in town would be interested in buying from him "brand new Australian owned and made all natural baby formula for newborns to toddlers". I gather from the rest of what he posted it would be like a home run business perhaps. Someone else asked him a few questions, eg brand, price etc, he wouldn't name it, just said the other person wouldn't know the brand as it was new, didn't have price yet, but would be competitive to other products on the market. The other person then asks is it compliant to Australian standards, yes apparently.

So I took a record of all of this, planning to come and research this a bit more, but when I have just checked now, he has removed all of the posts. Anyone ever come across something like this before? I guess I will just keep an eye out for anything else popping up and might ask some friends to keep an eye out too. And it reminded me that we were asked to send letters to someone about MAIF urgently, which I have of course forgotten to do, and I'm sure the time for doing so has long since past. :(

Sounds dodgy. I wonder if it's related to the shortage?

I just don't know how you could expect to compete in that market if you weren't already a dairy processor - that market is pretty locked up - without cutting some corners.
