Weaning help please!

Post by clairek766 » Mon Aug 08, 2016 10:44 pm

My son will be 5 in October and he's still feeding and very attached to it! He has one before bed and
when he wakes in the morning. And if he has a nap on weekends too.

I am having major aversion when he feeds lately it makes my skin crawl - plus I'm sure that my supply is nearly all gone.

I really want to wean him so I can have some freedom at bedtime especially but he's really attached to his booby and I don't want to traumatise him. He says he will never stop and will bed share forever!

Hoping some of you might have some tips for me please.

I told my boys in advance that boobie was finished on their 5th birthday. And both accepted that, which was lucky!
Perhaps a story with DS as the main character, growing up & finding new ways to go to sleep / not have boobie?
DS1 2006 - breastfed for 5 years
DS2 2009 - breastfed for 5 years
DD 2011 - breastfed for 4 years 9 months
