has anyone else had insomnia post weaning? is it a thing? ever since i weaned I am lying awake all night feeling like I've had 6 coffees :roll:

I found that I would fall asleep feeding, so once I weaned I had nothing to help me go to sleep. Or return to sleep if I woke up. I wouldn't bag called it insomnia, but definitely difficulty getting to sleep.

DS1 - August 2011 (Breastfed 2 years and 8 months)
DS2 - November 2014 (Breastfeeding happily)

I had something similar when DS 2&3 stopped sleeping in our bed. I think your body getting used to dealing with routine demands, and needs to be reprogrammed when things change!
