feeling rejected

How, when and why to introduce foods other than breastmilk

feeling rejected

Postby Andypandy » Mon Sep 29, 2014 8:56 am

I fed DS2 to sleep last night. He did not walk until 7am. He woke up and said "mummy" so I offered him booby.
He said no. So in desperation, I pulled it out my top and waggled it at him. He gave me a look of pity? Disdain? Not guite sure. But said "boobies away. Wheat biscuits (well the non forum term) please" and walked past me.

I just feel so rejected. Having a little cry into my cup of tea. :(

I so desperately wanted him to wean but he is not quite 2. And so little. Not sure how I am feeling. Just very confused.

oh massive hugs Andy. I know you've been experiencing some aversion and I reckon that could be driving your need to wean, but if you weren't pregnant, it probably wouldnt be on your mind at all.

Big hugs, Andy.
He's had almost two years of BM, which is such a great start to his life. He hasn't necessarily given it up completely - just maybe not at that time of day anymore. See how he goes this evening.
Do you feel as though you would prefer him to wean completely, or would you be OK with him wanting one feed a day? Is it uncomfortable or unpleasant when he feeds?

It is starting to be OK again. I would be OK with him having 1 feed a day and tandem feeding. I think.

We have had lots of snuggles today.
