Breakfast fingerfood ideas

Post by 4fun » Wed Aug 29, 2012 11:57 am

Dd has decided that her pureed/mashed fruit & rice cereal or wheat biscuit is only ok every 2nd or 3rd day. She loves finger food so im thinking of easy stuff i can give her in the mornings. On my list so far is just stuff i tend to feed her off our plates or if the boys are having duing the day so toast crusts, strawberries, pear, banana, melon, ooo eggs its funny how i think of more when writing it....
Any other ideas?
Stuff i can have ready in the fridge is great even if it needs a lil heating.

Oh & she only just cut her first 2 teeth so nothing that requires actually chewing, altough she's a champ gummer....

Avocado, or avocado on toast;
Leftovers (I'm not kidding - last night's spag bol can go down brilliantly for breakfast!);
Porridge (if you make it a bit gluggy it can be picked up by bub);
Polenta 'fingers';
Scrambled egg or omelette;

DD2 still going at 5 years :D

Toad in a hole has always been a big hit here - just cut it up small like toast soldiers :wink:
