No poo 6 days - 11 weeks old

Post by shirley33 » Thu Aug 17, 2017 8:50 pm

My LO is 11 weeks old, exclusively breastfed and hasn't pooed for 6 days. She is farting quite a lot, they are quite smelly and she seems to be in some pain just before she farts (legs curl up and sometimes she starts to cry).
I know they say that breastfed babies can go up to 2 weeks before pooing, but is the pain normal? Is there anything I can do to her to help her, or anything I can eat to help go through my breastmilk? I've tried cycling her legs, massaging her tummy, a nice warm bath etc.

My advice is to hang in there, it should come soon.

The joke is that if you go and visit a childless friend with a white couch, that can help things along!
