I'd seen you post on fb that you were concerned she didn't poop enough. 3-4 a day is normal for a bub of her age. More is also normal. Its only if you see much less than that you might be a bit concerned.

Well done mumma. Your boobs rock!!

I thought they were supposed to poop every feed or so. 1 for every day the first week. We only had one today and 2 over night. She's clearly super efficient. The mchn said its only a problem when combined with low weight gain and other signs. I was mostly nervous because i didnt know her and thats a risk when you live like i do. But she was great. Promoted cosleeping and everything.

Have you had her checked for ties and other restrictions? I've been talking with our local LC of late about this, and she had a baby/mother referred to her where the baby was just sitting at the end of the nipple slurping up the milk as the mother had an enormous supply. However if not checked out now, it's possible that around the 3-4 month mark bub may stop gaining weight as they want and then things start getting difficult.
If you're still in Mildura, and able to, maybe try to get along to one of the local meets. One of the counsellors may be able to help out, or give you some options locally for getting more help.

There is no local group here :( i cant see a tie myself. Every so often she latches well, which is great. But if b2 sprays 30cm, longer than the feed lasts, then im sure b1 sprays even more! So why suck? It comes out of her nose even though i keep her upright. And she's a spitter too :(

Poor love - must be hard to manage all that milk for a tiny baby. Mrs Moops had similar issues but not so pronounced. Some mums find expressing the first let-down helps. I hope it settles down soon.

boo. I thought there was. oh well, just keep the above in mind in a few months if things don't get better. If you're heading down this way let me know and I'll let you know about the local services if needed.
