Thanks for the article. So sad that the women have to pay for milk bank milk :( Another reason to love our public health system: donor milk is free because the health benefits save the hospital money.

It took them a while to get to the point of asking why so many women need donor milk but I am glad they got there.

The point about working mums was a good one - in a way I see it as employers who don't properly support their workers, shifting the cost of breastfeeding on to the milk donors.

But the opening few paragraphs had me cringing. Who had the impression there is an epidemic of low supply from reading that? I worry that mums who don't really need it are looking to donor EBM just like other mums look to ABM. We all know how common perceived low milk supply is in the community. And articles like this only add to the perception.
