You can mark certain posts as "read" so they don't show as having had new posts. I don't know if that's what you're looking for, though.

Do you use "new posts since last visit"? If so, I'd suggest rather than using that option, you just view the forum through the title page - that way, you don't have to see the title of every thread, and you have a little more control over which sections of the forum you view. For example, if you weren't interested in reading threads to do with Early Days, you just don't go into that section, kwim? That's how I use the forum - I only open threads I'm actually interested in following. I don't usually read Early Days, or Expressing, because it's been a long time since I did either of those things.
