There are fewer of us than the Whittos, but we have three beds in the house and seven sets of sheets - two per bed, plus a set of flannelette for the big bed for winter (I don't love flanno sheets). So at most I only have to store four sets - it is great!

(Of course the old sheets didn't go out, they went into the sewing stash for muslins )

I'm so late to this party, but I'm in for a projected total of 50 bags. Only just hit my target last year, so I'm under-guesstimating this time around.

And after a post-Christmas declutter, I'm on the board with 7 bags.

We have 2 sheet sets per bed, with 4 beds in total (that includes the guest bed). But then 1 of those is a guest bed that is same size as our bed, and the 2 kids are soon to have the same size bed too, so it softens the edges a little.

I'm struggling with towels. I've got 2 pp, plus one swim towel each, and then 2 guest towels, but that's a total of 14 towels! It's just too many but I don't know how to reduce it. We have frequent visitors and kids and 1 parent goes swimming weekly. They just take up so much space.

Does sending two kids off to perth with about 12 large tubs of stuff count :) You can almost move around the house. Once we sort out the bike shed it will be great :)

Just walked up to the op shop with three bags. I usually go outside of opening hours and put them in the donation bin because I don't like people but it was ok. The furniture pick up truck was there picking up the tables that had been left in their driveway. I went to put my bags in the bin there saw it was full (as I expected) and he said just to put it on the back steps. I did that and quickly made my exit before the op shop staff came out.

42 + 3 = 45

In op shop him: four bags of dh's clothes. One bag of books and kids clothes, mostly clothes I'd kept from R that I won't use for C. Two bags of expensive plastic ware.

One bag of my clothes posted to a forumite

45 + 4 + 1 + 2 + 1 = 53

And Penguin shoots past her goal!
