It has been a hard month

For many reasons, some mothers find themselves being the sole parent of
their child or children. This category is for those who may be full time
solo parents or for those whose partners work away from home for extended
periods of time, and for every solo parenting situation in between!

It has been a hard month

Post by Westaussie77 » Mon Aug 20, 2012 10:51 pm

Feeling really lost at the moment my lo has just been diagnosed with Autism.

A guy who was quite accpeting of my lo and his differences, has just reject me.

XH has his new partner to support him through the challenges.

My parents don't quite get it right now

I am also have huge problems with our school and their approaches to my son.

Hard as a single parent to go through this alone

Hi Mooki,

No not because of the diagnosis apparently he likes me, but it didn't feel right for him somehow, it didn't come easily.

I think he is an awesome guy. Not going there EVER again. Relationships are way too hard and not because of the diagnosis!!!!

Hugs hun. It is so hard when you get the diagnosis, because you have confirmation of what you thought, so it isn't just an idea it is a reality. So hard to cope with for a while. I remember mourning the child I didn't have, even though I had never had that child. We are weird sometimes. I found the diagnosis helpful though, we got aid time at school, and his aids are the ones who taught him stuff, without them he would know nothing. there is an autism thread in parenting in general too.
