My husband just walked out.

For many reasons, some mothers find themselves being the sole parent of
their child or children. This category is for those who may be full time
solo parents or for those whose partners work away from home for extended
periods of time, and for every solo parenting situation in between!

We haven't moved schools often, but have found it much better to move before the end of the year, and use the 'rest of the year' to settle in. Otherwise, my kids fret all holidays about what the new school will be like, and if they'll make any friends. So when we've made the decision to move, we move! When we moved to Melbourne, Fat baby made 13 in his class at the local public school, so plenty of one on one there! (The local Catholic school had 29 kids in the prep classes!)
