temping

Postby fellare » Tue May 20, 2014 8:32 pm

I've been taking temperature every morning this month and every time it's somewhere between 35.9 and 36.1.
Today I thought I'd see what is like during the day 35.5. Is that normal? Am I doing something wrong? I'm often cold, but I thought I'd be colder first thing in the morning.

Temperature can vary quite widely depending on *how* you take it. Temperature commonly dips at ovulation too.

I've been taking it under the tongue. I'm not ovulating right now. At least not according to mucus.

I used to temp when TTC. I can imagine it would be slightly higher in the morning when you've been snuggled up in bed. Are you taking it while you're still in bed before you get up? Like Parla said, it can dip slightly before ovulation (although not always significantly - my charts used to go up and down over the month) but it's the rise after ovulation that is really noticeable.

Yes, I take it as soon as possible and try to move as little as I can.
There if no egg white mucus yet, so I doubt I'm ovulating. Lots of acne so something is happening, but it's more common to get acne on a non ovulation cycle. Insemination is this weekend, I've got three days to try, so hopefully I got my dates right!!

It was 35.9 this morning, pretty amazing how stable it is.

My temp used to be stable for a few days before ov. Then dip a day before ov before shooting up the day after ov by 0.5-1degree. It was a really impressive change and very consistent.

I didn't temp outside of the first morning temp. You will drive yourself mad taking your temp at random times throughout the day. Unless you are feeling ill only do the morning temp!

^^This^^ your temp will fluctuate heaps during the day and it doesn't mean anything! Stick to the first morning temp and look for a pattern there...

we're having a ball. spend all day running around on this farm, feeding pigs, digging up veggies and stuff. Nearly fed ds a worm, lol. he's loving it too. played with yabbies and eating apples straight off the tree. DIdnt like the lime much lol.

so even if it doesn't work this time, I'd be sad, but it was still worth it. This place is exactly what my dream life looks like. Pitty I cant just stay here.
