Planing to plan to TTC

Postby jessiemay » Mon Jul 08, 2013 11:18 pm

I never thought I would have to plan to TTC. Due to farm commitments we have 6 months that we can have number 4. I'm trying to work out we to DTD with a 6w cycle. Bub can be born June, July, August or December, January, February. It sucks to have to try and plan it like this but with the min of 2 weeks away from home waiting for bub to turn up we have people looking after the farm.

Any one had to plan like this or just go with the flow?

We just went with the flow, but then again we did not have specific months that needed to taken into consideration.
Good luck and have fun

Don't ask me. I've got two children born a day apart

But good luck.

Sort of ... I knew that if we didn't conceive by March that DH would have vetoed relations for a few months. He was born almost on Christmas and hates it, and would have refused to conceive a Christmas baby. Luckily we made it in time.

We went with the flow with ds. Got pregnant pretty much as soon as I was fertile again after DD's birth. But now we are actually thinking about when would be a good time for another baby. We are living overseas. Not sure when we will come home. Not sure if we want to have a baby while we are here. Be easy to take two kids and a bump home, than three kids, one a tiny baby. If we do go home when our visa is up (no renewing and no early return) getting pregnant towards the end of this year would make the most sense. But I'm not sure I want to be clinical about it. I like going with the flow!

I had definite times of the year I didn't want to have a baby, so kind of planned months when it would be ok to try. But totally failed to count wiht DS2, so ended up overdue in the hottest part of summer.
It's doable, just remember to do your maths, and make sure you're together at the right time (these were my two issues!)
