Breastfeeding journey may be over... :(

A baby's refusal to feed is a distressing time. Sometimes the refusal is outright; other times just an extreme fussiness. Usually it is temporary and the baby returns to the breast. Share your experiences and support one another through this tough time here.

And Chiggins, you DID BF your DD. Don't ever doubt for a second how wonderful breastfeeding for several months is.

he lives in Perth... he has agreed to pay for their education (private school here we come... \:D/ ) but thats about it.
He travels a lot with work and is overseas a lot... and kids were not really part of his plans I think.
But Im fine with that. I skype with his mother (who lives in Nth QLD) and she wants to be involved a bit so we'll see how that goes.

Thanks everyone for your hugs and kind words. Ive had my cry over it and will move forward... I agree, 4 months is pretty good. My mum couldn't BF at all, for any of her 3 kidlets.... so I guess Im lucky to have been able to do the 4 months that I did. xx

Yes! Is a great job that you did! You can try bring your daughter back to the breast when bub is here.

Hope their dad is paying child support as well!!! You deserve it!

Good luck! You are doing an awesome job, and whatever happens with the sns you should be really proud of the start you have given your bub. You are such a strong woman, to be doing this on your own. Huge hugs from me, and good luck again with the sns.
Back in the forum with surprise bub number 3!

After a little effort and using a latch assist device... we're back in business! DD is back at the breast, feeding on DBM and is loving it.
I can't begin to tell you how good it feels to be feeding her at the breast again. Even with an SNS, I still have that sense of closeness and intimacy.

Fantastic! And the Nile stimulation means some milk will still be produced, plus she may be able to go full time with her little brother/sister!
