How long is too long?

A baby's refusal to feed is a distressing time. Sometimes the refusal is outright; other times just an extreme fussiness. Usually it is temporary and the baby returns to the breast. Share your experiences and support one another through this tough time here.

How long is too long?

Post by Ck1984 » Thu Nov 10, 2016 4:01 pm

We're on day 11 of breastfeeding strike (my daughter is 7 months and popped her first 2 teeth, one last week and one this week). She is still refusing to feed from me, but will take a bottle of EBM. I'm heart broken and want her back to the boobie so much! I'm wondering if anyone's had breast refusal for this long (or longer) and gotten bub back to the boob?

I haven't and don't know anyone that has, but just wanted to say I hope the breast refusal ends soon! That sounds stressful. Have you called the helpline and/or read the article about breast refusal?

I've done both. Good suggestions but nothing's helping at the moment. Thank you so much for your reply though!
