Decided last night that the universe is against me going to conference. I can't run breastfeeding and sexuality as I found out yesterday that it's the same day as my son's fun run. I also received an invitation to a friend's wedding the night before and it's the same weekend as conference. At least by next year I should be fully qualified as a CE and have maybe even started either my TAE or counselling.

How's everyone going?

I've now completed 8 units of my CE training.

Two more unit I've actually completed, just need to type them up and submit them and start and finish the other two.

well done Feebes. Do you have a timeline?

Ive finished my CE and working on my TAE currently. I have some practical tasks booked in which I find gives me something to work towards. Im aiming to be completed in the next 12 months. Sooner if possible.

I notice a couple of you (pfongk, mooki) have enrolled or are planning to enrol in the TAE course quite soon after completing one or other of CE or Counselling. Could you tell me a bit more about that? I would absolutely love to contribute to ABA by training or assessing or both but I'd wondered if they like you to have a few years' experience as a trained volunteer first...however from reading your posts I wonder whether I could ask ABA if it would be appropriate to enrol in the TAE course this year. In terms of other commitments, this year would be a real sweet spot for me in terms of being somewhat quieter than any other year is likely to be for quite some years to come.

I'm not sure how the TAE would work with the new course rollout due in the next month.....might be a good idea to contact training and ask them?

I would just go for it and enrol. Nothing learnt is ever wasted :) Also all of the trainers will be coping with the conversion to the new course, and you should have no trouble with that as you have just completed the old one.
