New title- Parla is awesome

Post by Penguin » Mon Mar 02, 2015 1:45 pm

I have several assessments I've completed from various units. I will get the remaining tasks of some units finished tonight 2014 assessment kits) The units that I've only done one task for- will I have to do that task again if I'm not able to get the whole unit finished tonight? If the task hasnt changed, will I be able to keep the credit from my 2014 task?

My understanding is you will have to redo them...but check the 2015 kits, as they may not have changed and maybe speak to your assessor?

Rats, just lost my reply.

Basically the new kit is usually very similar to the old, just a few changes. So if you can just cut and paste answers from one to the other. With tasks again the changes are usually not that dramatic, sometimes you need to make minor adjustments and maybe write a bit more commentary. You may be able to convince your assessor to accept it today, however, we have to submit them by the 14th after that they won't be accepted. So that means the 2014 kit I'm about to assess better not have too many major errors, or else she might not get it done in time. That said, I just finished assessing a 2015 kit, and the small changes made it much clearer and easier to complete.

I hope that helps.

I'll get a bunch done tonight (with my assessor) but it's the units where I've only done one task that I'm worried about. I think I've wasted the work I've done on them :( bummer :(

Not at all......go over the 2015 kits and the tasks you've already completed for 2014 kits and see if there's much difference.....if there isn't, you can just use the work for the 2015 kit instead. I've not done it as I always made sure I had finished a whole unit before starting another where possible

I think Lead a vol team has changed a lot :(

I wanted to complete each unit but it didn't work out that way.

Is there somewhere in MyABA that I can access a list of what I've done? Because paperwork is my nemesis, I can't find my transcript (which I'm sure I had a week ago...)

There's a new thing in myABA under my training where you can access them. Your screen name should be your log on name and password is your member number...you should have gotten an email about it? Otherwise you will need to contact head office

The Lead a Vol Group has changed quite a bit, but that doesn't necessarily mean you can't use what you've done, you might just have to tweak it a little. There's been a change in the way the stuff has to be written up. Have a look at the new one, and compare it to what you did with the old one. Oh, and I assume the problem area is the bit where you have to document the thing you did? Worst case scenario you'll just have to re-write it (I think) not redo the actual event.

And, wow!! You're already into getting stuff completed with a ?not quite 2 week old baby?

Yes. Log in to the website and click on My Training. There is something about checking results - click. You will need to log in again, different credentials. You should have received an email about it in the last couple of weeks with log in details - mine was username and member number. Be warned that some results are not correct - eg I was marked as having completed the counselling units last March, but we all know I only finished the counselling units...

I can't find my pamphlet or my lactation histories :(
I just found the last USB I thought they would be on, and they aren't there.
I'm going to cry now, I think.
