Do you want a refund at this point? I'd suggest this is a major failure and you should be able to get a refund from the merchant or manufacturer - you could call your local fair trading office for advice - ours are excellent and very helpful.

Yes I want a refund so I can buy another pump. I wanted that when I called HO a fortnight ago asking for an urgent refund. When I followed up last week when I hadn't heard back I told them I had very little freezer stash and needed to get this resolved ASAP, and I still had to chase them up today.

I will start playing hard ball if they don't refund me tomorrow. I'm just disappointed that I have to.

Head Office can't/ won't help me. I'm going to lodge a complaint with fair trading.

I'm gutted that when I called ABA urgently a fortnight ago it took me two lots of chasing up non-replies to be offered the 'solution' that I initially contacted them about being unsatisfactory. If ABA as a business can't be trusted to deal with "I need urgent help to get milk for my baby" then who can :(

I'd suggest that's exactly why ABA isn't in the breast pump selling business any more - they just don't have the resources to meet needs like yours, which aren't unrealistic. It's just a shame that you had to find it out the hard way.

What a relief Penguin - it is a shame you had to push this hard but I'm glad you will be able to secure a more reliable pump now.
