Re the article - I genereally agreed with it (except for the fact that only men are aroused by breast). I do with the article had touched on those who didn't think it was icky - ie, there is obviously a demand for the jewellery now, so where has the demand come from and why? Would have been good to have address that, rather than just the opposition/grossed-out-ness)

I thought it was interesting from an anthropological perspective when it talked about rituals from milestones.

I can think of about 4 contacts who have had it made. 3 weaned before they were ready to. I think it may be popular as part of a parenting subculture. It is visible proof of breastfeeding. However I see it as no different to those stamped sterling silver necklaces with a child's name.

To be honest, I think the advent of Etsy has seen a lot of previously niche items bevome quite mainstream.
