At my wits end

Stressed….depressed or just feeling emotionally isolated and in need of a chat? Sometimes the labels don’t fit but the emotional baggage we carry is the same…….if your life isn’t all beautiful like the nappy ads would have us believe, feel free to have a chat here. At my wits end

Post by Melby » Wed Jun 01, 2011 1:08 pm

I am sooo tired. For the past 4 nights, my bub has been waking every 1.5 hours from 9pm onwards. I don't know what to do anymore. I am sitting here in tears waiting for my husband to get home so I can finally get some sleep. He is in his bouncer smiling at me which is adorable, but I can't enjoy him because I am so tired. Even getting him to sleep in the day is a nightmare because he gets so worked up when I try to put him to sleep. It is upsetting because this time last week, he slept from 6pm until 1.15 before his first feed. How can things go so pear shaped so quickly...

Oh hugs, sleep deprivation sucks. Hopefully the frequent waking is just a short phase due to a growth spurt or teething? how old is your little man? have you heard of the four month monsters?

Just wanted to add some hugs, my DD went from a 'good' sleeper to a terrible one at about that age and I was absolutely exhausted, thinking about a good night sleep (for me) made me cry in despair! It gradually improved and I started to lay down with her in the day to make her sleep. Hang in there, it will get better x

Ah yes, 4 mths sucks! I thought I had hit the jackpot with this one sleeping six hour stretches at six weeks old. But then four mths hit and it has been CRAP ever since.

Hope you get some sleep Melby, hang in there x

Big hugs to you.

I am in your position now, 2 nights of no sleep and I feel the same.
I really hope things have improved for you.

Xx

Yep - 4 months is horrible.

Reassure yourself that as quickly as it went to sh*t, it will get better.
