Hi everyone!

Hi everyone

I'm 16 weeks pregnant with my first (yay!) and the ABA was recommended to me by a friend. I plan on joining in a month or two when I'm closer to my due date, but in the meantime I've been reading the ABA website and these forums. I thought I'd stop lurking and introduce myself!

So hello everyone!

Hi,
you might want to book into a BEC soon if you are interested in doing them... they tend to book out fairly quickly.

Hi Tiggermum, what's a BEC? (I checked, it's not on the abbreviations list!)

Hi and welcome!

I found the aba so amazing when my son was a newborn. My friend lent me her old copies of Essence (the aba magazine that u get when ur a member) and I poured over every word as I was nailed to the couch breastfeeding for 10 hours a day! It totally reassured me that it was ok to be nailed to the couch for 10 hours a day. And plus I learnt so much - I didn't even know that supply = demand until I came across aba... There's so many useful things to learn : )
DS1 - born May 2011, breastfed for 26 months
DS2 - born Dec 2013, breastfeeding like a champ

Hi and welcome! I wish I had known about the ABA when I was pregnant with my first, I didn't join until he was 3 months old. Enjoy! :D

Hello, welcome, and congratulations!

I wish I'd joined as early as you did - it would have made the start of my breastfeeding journey so much easier!

Yep I only came across the ABA because my friend wished she had joined before she had her son! Otherwise I wouldn't even know it existed.

So far I think the 'breastfeeding plan' link was the biggest eye-opener for me - when I get into my third trimester I'm going to print it out and discuss it with my OBS and my husband.

Oh and I've figured out how to make a counter for my signature! I couldn't find it in any of the help threads but I clicked on someone else's on accident and though, oh, this must be where you make them.
