I had entertained the possibility of DD1 returning for a feed once DD2 arrived. DD1 has asked a few times and fondly remembers that milk tasted like chocolate - who knew  but I haven't wanted her to, so I gently tell her it's just for DD2 and how lucky she is to have had mummy milk for so long.

Well, no feeds since the 3rd. We've talked about Mummy Milk for the baby, so we'll see what happens. I haven't let her see me pump (and don't plan to until baby's here). I don't know if she will ask when the baby's here but I'm pretty sure I'll outright refuse. Mostly sure.

She asked this morning but I refused. She then clarified that she just want to look at them - she was worried that my nipples were very big when she came off last night and that she had hurt me, so she wanted to check on them.

She then suggested that 'the baby can have that milk (left breast) and I can have that milk (right breast)' When I said that the baby needed both sides she said 'maybe the baby can have milk from a bottle and I can have milk from there (breasts)?'

Are you home yet? I'm surprised she hasn't asked yet - it was the first thing Oobiwoo said when he arrived at hospital to see me after Moops was born

She asked last night when we were out at dinner but I didn't want to so I distracted her with ice cream. This morning when we were all in bed saying good morning to each other she said 'good morning nipples!' and then told me how much she likes playing with big nipples  (I was covered up the whole time too!)

I'm torn as to if I'll let her back or not when the milk comes back. I don't know 1) what to do or 2) how to cut her off if that's what I decide.
Hmm, do you think that she would cope with big hard rock boobs?

I'd use the boobs as a good tactic for having a sit down and a bit of quiet time with her and possibly DD2 as well.

I guess that it might be nice to either have a nice morning feed to start the day, or else a good way to end the day?

Maybe just see how things go with DD2 first and go from there?

No, and as I got past 40 weeks he was a big part of my going in to labour strategy  He was probably feeding once or twice a day before I disappeared off to hospital.

Well, I'm calling it. (Again.) DD1 has officially weaned.

She hasn't asked and is happy to see DD2 feeding. She saw me pumping last ngiht and didn't suggest that she have it. (She was concerned about my nipple though - 'why is your nipple going in and out?')

So, three and three-quarters of a year, and I didn't tandem feed.

What a ride, kiddo. Hope you had fun; I certainly did x
