If money wasn't an issue

What would you do?
Would you go somewhere?
Would you buy something special?

If money was unlimited, I would pay off the mortgages of two family members that I know need that (but do it anonymously so that they never feel a debt). I would make sure that our parents and children were provided for.

I would donate money to causes that resonate with me. As the weather gets colder, I can't help but think of everyone that doesn't have a permanent address or is out on the streets.

I would travel for a couple of years while homeschooling the kids and when we were ready to settle down, I'd buy a house and go back to uni.

How about you, Lu?

I'd buy a house with a granny flat or whatever so anyone visiting would have their own space.
I'd buy my in laws a permanent home (mother and father in law).

I'd give them a sum of money to keep for bills so money they get/earn they could spend on themselves

I'd give each of the kids a sum of money in their savings

I'd then pay for my family to come and visit.

Put some into savings to gain interest
Put some into bills accounts to cover bills etc
Replace my inheritance money we've had to use just to survive

Give to charity (like you) and to our church.

Set aside some money for the kids education.

Maybe do a course.

Repay those who have loaned us money!

Fun question - I'd have a little block of land somewhere quiet with a comfy cosy house (it is cold here tonight so I have an imaginary wood fire to keep me toasty). I'd indulge all my hobbies and not have to go to work. We would probably have a few animals, a garden to potter in, lots of time for creating and making things. That is pretty much what we plan to do when we retire, probably minus the animals because we'll be too old and creaky :)
It's OK Pluto, I'm not a planet either

I'd work my horses... I'm finding more and more that I'm enjoying the time and results I get from them.
I'd go to clinics ... and take the kids camping and travelling. ( a bit hard with Bulldog and his autism though)
I wouldn't work... I'd follow my interests and come home to my farm.

Ah, that is interesting as I'd still want to work. I think that having 'stuff' at a click of a finger would make life too easy??

I would want to volunteer at least. It would be nice to choose my hours though and not have to work somewhere if I didn't like it.

I'm in the unique situation of loving my boss ( she's seriously awesome) and not liking what I'm doing. The only reason I'm having an impact is because of who I am and the mental health knowledge I've gained. Which incidently I gained most of it from horse training... So that is why I'd give up work.
And who's to say that because I work that I don't have things at the click of a finger already. Yes I have to think about where my money is going and plan for future events, but I'd do that with the money is no issue thing...
but yes... you have to have self discipline or motivation and goals or else you will turn into a lazy bugger. thats been proven time and time again.
