Not happy

Post by wilfred » Sun Oct 25, 2015 4:07 pm

So my mum bought the kids a $20 voucher today for their devices. Anyway, we get home and DS1 helps DS2 with his fav game. He spent $15. Then he runs to tell me 5 mins later that DS2 spent $190!!!!!!

Turns out there is a 15 minute window in this game. DS2 didn't know how much he was spending it wasn't his fault. But OMG!!!!

I know! He was so upset when I explained what happened. He's only 5, he thought he was only spending his voucher.

A friend of mine's son spent over a thousand dollars by accident, and they were successful in contesting the charges - to everyone's surprise. Not sure if it's worth looking into or not?

If you can be bothered, it's worth chasing it up. Call the company and see if they'll play nice, if not, you could drop hints about consumer protection rights and the ACCC.

^This. They will refund the money. My friends son spent $500+ and got the money back.

Good luck contesting that charge Wilfred. Inapp purchases drive me nuts. I keep telling myself Oobiwoo is learning a lesson about buying junk with his money, but it is so hard to watch him spend his $3 a week on 'gems'. Grrrr
It's OK Pluto, I'm not a planet either
