DD is going gangbusters with baby sign language but hasn't really said any words so far that you could really pin down as more than just coincidence. We've had phases of mama and dada but then they go out of favour and you never really feel like it was for us.

The cute part is, after over a month hiatus DD has started up with dada again, just in time for Father's Day. :smt007

At the new playgroup, we had to all gather in a circle and sing songs. Most of the kids were sitting on their parent's laps, but some got up. As such, we let H get up as he was wriggly. He stood in the middle of this circle of strangers and danced to "row your boat". He looked like Mr Bean. Clearly, this child has no issues dancing sober. He must be someone else's!!!!

ETA - to clarify, we also don't give him alcohol :D

DD still doesn't quite get 'mama' and 'dada' right. First they didn't mean anything, then she worked out dada for DH, then we were both dada. It's only in the last week or so that she's starting to call me mama, although often when I first walk into childcare she still calls me dada. You can tell that she still has to think about it, it's not 100% there yet.

The adorable bit is that after dinner today I was holding her and watching DH do the dishes. She spontaneously pointed right at my sternum and said MAMA. Talk about heart melting!

Looks like it's been a while since anyone's posted here, so I'll add one. DD is doing a lot of peekaboo (although for some reason she says 'beeeee' instead of 'boo'). Today after dinner I was trying to distract her whilst we cleaned up by giving her the wire colander to play with. Next thing I know she's got it over her head, looking at me through the mesh and going 'beeee!' :smt005

When I went to bed last night, ds semi woke up, laughed and said "that's funny" I wish I could ask him what he was dreaming about!

DS had his first Easter Egg today (we found a sugar free carob one that was surprisingly nice) and as he sat there in my arms eating it, he reached up and stroked my face with his carob covered hands.

I said "ohhh H" and he replied very seriously "ohhh Jen". Hahaha, he's never called me by my name before.

So I'm folding the washing today and picked DHs underwear up. H takes the jocks off me and says "Ooh Mum! It's Daddy's doodle shirt!" :smt082

Lol.

I just discovered DS can handle a smaller size of block, so we were down the shops first thing making some investments. DD was inspecting the picture on the front and comparing to the packs inside the box and said "I'm a little bit sad" Why? "Because there are no people."

A few minutes later she said "Oh. My. God!" What is it? "You can MAKE the people!"

My first born all of a sudden started saying his Uncles name last week. He is just over 2 years, and the last time he saw his Uncle was July of last year. We had to record a video and send it to him!
