Benefits of breastfeeding - not covered in training

Post by Mummy woo! » Thu May 15, 2014 7:11 pm

Having a chat with Mrs Moops while getting ready for bed tonight. She explained to me 'it is good to have mummy milk because it cleans out my insides'.
I asked her to tell me more.
'Well, you know how you can't wash your insides, well the mummy milk will go into my insides and wash them out.'
I asked if anything else can wash your insides.
'Yes, mummy milk, and water, and regular milk, but not the toothbrush'
:smt005

Seriously, I think the best thing about feeding a big kid is hearing all their cool ideas about it. Anyone else heard any unexpected benefits of breastfeeding?
It's OK Pluto, I'm not a planet either

Yes.

I posted this in FB so you wouldn't have seen it ;)

Maybe six months ago DD had a feed at daycare pick up. I was wearing a high necked work dress with a zip at the back, so to get a breast out I had to unzip can slip the dress off my arm. I couldn't reach my zip so I needed DD to operate it for me.

I recall phrasing it as a 'benefit of breastfeeding' because I didn't think that 'not having someone to unzip your work dress because you need to get out of it in public' could really be considered a risk of not breastfeeding an older child :smt005
