relacting 5 week old

my other 2 weren't great feeders and i wasn't at all confident so went to bottle 2 days after dd was born. 5 weeks on i still have drops of milk.

how long will it take?

what steps can i initially take?

i'd really suggest calling the breastfeeding helpline - 1800 mum 2 mum (1800 686 2 686) - they'll be able to help you put a plan of attack in place!!

Apart from that, lots of skin to skin contact (maybe tuck bub inside your jumper or dressing gown), and maybe give baby-led attachment a go - http://www.breastfeeding.asn.au/bfinfo/bla.html

I'd also suggest contacting your local group for some face to face support - http://www.breastfeeding.asn.au/contact/groups.html
