one thing my dh did sometimes was feed ds to sleep. He'd have ds in the carrier and give him a bottle, while walking around.

we had A LOT of issues with dh getting ds to sleep and this worked quite well. THere is nothing wrong with feeding to sleep and if bub is ok with the bottle, then there is little difference, since breastmilk can't be digested by carries causing bacteria (unlike artificial breastmilk, juice and other drinks)

I wouldn't do what your carer says. If you still want to breastfeed your child do it. Otherwise you might regret it.
