1st day of care for DD2. Wish there was some way I could prepare her for it better :(

Hope it went ok. I was thinking of you as I was driving home this afternoon wondering when DD2 was starting.

It was OK. DD2 didn't cry when I left, but she didn't want a feed either. The FDC mum happily carried her about most of the day as DD2 didn't like it if she was put down or the mum moved too far away and she was happy to accomodate :-D

She drank almost all the EBM I sent   (who's child is this??) and ate her food and made a lovely mess over her shirt and the mum's shirt too with pumpkin and watermelon colours

She looked quite surprised when I turned up, but pretty happy. Still not interested in a feed (again  ) until a while after we got home. Drier nappies than I like to see, but she seems fine, if very tired, although she had one long nap there.

So, a positive start. I'm sure it will go up and down from here...

Thanks all for the support. Much appreciated xo

That sounds positive! Sounds like a good FDC mum too. Yay for drinking the milk! Did you end up scalding it?

No Penguin, no scalding. She takes it cold-hooray!

1st day of work is Tuesday next week, but I wanted to start her a bit early so I didn't have 1st day of work, plus 1st day of cc, plus 1st day of prep for DS, plus 1st day of school all at once. And me being an emotional mess to boot :(

Yes, I'm a selfish, selfish mum
