first day

Postby huonsmum » Wed May 30, 2012 8:38 am

so today is my little mans first morning at fam daycare. I go back to work in a few weeks so we are doing some mornings for him to get used to it. I'm feeling ok just nervous about how she is going to get him to sleep for his nap! Feeling a bit sad about the fact that it is coming up quick to going back to work and I will have to leave him for two days :(

So, fast forward two weeks and we have started in family day care today. Unfortunately she has only had 40 minutes sleep - all day! Only 2 feeds and not much solids at all. She was very happy and relaxed when I picked her up though, which was fantastic. I think that having older kids playing with her all day (4-5 year old/s absolutely fascinated by babies!) has distracted her from her food, and masked the tired signs big time. She has not appeared overtired to me and has fallen asleep easily this afternoon (we will now be late to bed but I'm not worried). Do you think it will take awhile for things to settle? and Missy Moo seemed to have 2 large feeds today (and a big one when we came home), whereas she might just be having small feeds from me? Any thoughts?
