I FINALLY DID IT..

Postby Karen81 » Thu Jan 21, 2010 6:53 pm

Well kind of finally did it. I have a new job. 3 days a week, normal hours, 5 minutes from home. Compared to 5 days a week, long hours and nearly a 2 hour commute each way it's heaven.

Now all I have to do is resign from my current employer who I've been with for 10 years and who I am devastated to be leaving :( They're like family to me.

Good Luck to me!

That's great that you have a new job that is part time :D ! I work 3 days a week too, it is a nice balance.

Good luck with resigning - that sounds rough :(

I've been at my work nearly 10 years too, it would be really hard to leave - just focus on all the lovely time you'll be able to spend with your LO!

good luck with it. I imagine it woudl be a sad day to leave an employer you havebeen with that long, but also lovely to have a job that suits you a bit more at the moment.

That's great news Karen! Congratulations. Five minutes from home sounds like heaven to me! I'm going back next Thursday and doing three days a week. I'm hoping it is a good balance.

Yay! Well done. Sounds like a tough decision - but it will pay dividends for your family.

Step 2 today - I resigned! It was very, very sad but they were extremely supportive. Looking forward to this next big and scary step in life.

GOOD LUCK Sam, let me know how you go :)
