I remember there was a gorilla who had a baby just after Andy, GM and I did almost two years ago. The didn't go and check on the baby for a few weeks if I remember correctly because they were all to scared to go and snatch the baby from the oxytocin filled mumma gorilla so they decided to let them 'bond' :smt005

Another ABA/ ape tory. We met up with a real life ABA friend and her girls who moved to Melbourne at the zoo. We ate lunch from out lunchboxes at the orangutan enclosure and one of the zookeepers gave a VERY graphic talk about how the female got pregnant despite being in a separate cage to the male. Made for interesting lunchtime commentary
