Re: What can you tell me about weaning and hormones?

Thanks for the encouragement and support ladies! I'm pretty confident dd has now weaned (she came back to feed after the last post- but now it's been 5 days), and I'm feeling so much more calm! Those hormones were full on- I really did think I was losing it!

Re: What can you tell me about weaning and hormones?

I totally get that Esther.... My period is trying to come back too (not successfully so far) and today I've got both kids sleeping and I just want to cry! Probably not helped by 2 grandparents having passed away in the past 3 months.... Emotional overwhelm- hormones don't help it at all! I feel like...

Re: What can you tell me about weaning and hormones?

Thanks Mamamagoo. It's good to know it's not just me or my imagination! My 8 week old niece was just here and it reminded me that my baby is now all grown up. I'm pretty sure she is weaned now- my boobs were sore so I offered her a Feed the other day- she sucked for maybe 20 seconds, whilst smiling ...

What can you tell me about weaning and hormones?

Hi ladies! DD is now 19 months and is now only feeding once a day- and in the last few days down to every other day. I am in such a bad mood, feeling snappy and grumpy to the max. I have absolutely no patience and feel like I could burst into tears at anytime.... Is this normal when weaning? What ar...

Re: Best foods for 17mo following gastro x3

Thankyou so much ladies! I've been following her lead a bit today, and she's had a bit more variety of fruits and some veggies and rice. Snowie- she's been keen for breastfeeds, so that is really reassuring for me! So glad she hadn't weaned herself- I would really feel up the creek if she wasn't sti...

Best foods for 17mo following gastro x3

Hi, I haven't been around for a while! Wasn't sure where to post this question either! Miss 17 months has had 3 bouts of gastro (norovirus and adenovirus at the same time) since mid January. She hasn't been her normal self since then. She was breastfeeding 3/24hrs. Yesterday she wasn't keeping solid...

Re: The bulk buying annual m'ship warehouse....

I have a membership and find I can save well when shopping- as long as I go with a list and u se self control! Lol! We have petrol at ours, so that saves me lots. You need space to store all of your bulk purchases- loo paper, paper towel etc. They stock aussie products too, and I have found some sma...

Recurring blocked ducts and mastitis

Hi ladies! So DD is now 11.5 months old (how exactly did that happen?). I bf DS until 15 months with no episodes of blocked ducts or mastitis at all. Different story this time round! I'm on bout number 4. Last week I had a white spot on my nipple and a large lump on the underside of my right breast,...

Re: Looking after my niece, who won't drink.

Hi! How are things going now? You sound like an awesome Aunty! I was just reading along and wondered if the EBM tastes different for your niece? Has the milk been frozen? I don't know much about expressing or the intricacies of freezing, defrosting and the changes that can come with it... But im sur...

Re: How did you build up your milk stash?

Thankyou all! I giggled at the thought of expressing whilst feeding.... It's hard enough keeping her feeding in her room when it is quiet!! Lol hats off to you ladies who could do both at once!! I'm impressed! I will try for morning sessions to express when I can if I'm more Likely to get most then....

How did you build up your milk stash?

DD is 10 months, and today, for the first time accepted and drank a bottle of EBM! It was only 60ml, as I wasn't convinced she would drink it, as on previous occasions 100ml+ had to be tipped down the sink :( So, I'd like to build up a stash for when I return to work/ need to go out for longer perio...
