Re: *medication* when breastfeeding?

Hi Viktoria22, and welcome to the forum! It sounds like you're doing a great job balancing your baby's needs with your own health needs. It's not an easy juggling act some days! :) Unfortunately ABA counsellors (and the lovely women on this forum) aren't able to give specific medical advice - discus...

Re: ABA position on oral ties?

I do know that our website information talks about tongue ties, but other possible versions of ties (upper lip, for example) are not mentioned. That is, I believe, in part due to the poor evidence base at present. To add to the reading list, I found this an excellent critical analysis of the current...

Re: Studying Mums support and motivation thread.

And it's done - 4 years + 2 days, a baby, a toddler-now-six-year-old, and an interstate move later, and the PhD thesis has been submitted. The friends and connections I've made through ABA have been there in the background the whole time, too. :-)

Re: Jobs

Thanks MW that is very helpful. After working in a London airport dealing with lots of 'lovely passengers' I have plenty of stories ;) hahaha. Haha, I bet! One thing that always struck me was when an applicant spoke about their previous work experience, and the sorts of specific examples MW m...

Re: Studying Mums support and motivation thread.

I saw this thread bumped, and realised I never responded to westaussie77's question (only two years later... ) - my PhD is in the medical anthropology/health sociology area, and I've been focused on women's experiences and body practices at the intersection of breastfeeding, milk insufficienc...

Esther! Possible star forumite sighting...

It's only just dawned on me, but think I was in the audience for a performance you did today, Esther. DD and I attended with a homeschoolers' "school" group. She was experiencing a bit of auditory overwhelm so spent a fair time with her hands over her ears to dampen the sound... If you ...

WHO Baby Two :-)

DS turned 2 yesterday. Still breastfeeding, often a lot during the day. He has a great vocabulary around breastfeeding now, too - mummy milk, TV milk (when he wants to feed but in a position that allows him to see the TV at the same time  ), other side, sleepy milk (for when he's tired a...

Re: The 2017 declutter thread

I'm so late to this party, but I'm in for a projected total of 50 bags. Only just hit my target last year, so I'm under-guesstimating this time around.

And after a post-Christmas declutter, I'm on the board with 7 bags.

Re: The 2016 declutter thread

The equivalent of maybe 5 bags' worth of clothes and toys to the op-shop - 64 bags total. Oh! And another 3 bags' worth of assorted items a month or so ago - forgot to add those. So 67 bags is the running total with a day to go. Not really very near the 100 bags goal I set myself in January, ...
