My husband occasionally does work for the distributors of ergo. There recommendation is to never buy an ergo off the auction site, as there are so many fakes being sold on there. The distributors say that what normally happens is that the buckles snap and then people send them back and discover they...

Is it a pilot program in Melbourne at a Northernish hospital? I had my DD2 in the homebirth program and my third stage was not managed... Well sort of and sort of not... We waited for two hours for the placenta to come out naturally and then I asked to be given synotocin, as I wanted the third stage...

My DS gets a spotty tiny pimple looking rash around his mouth if he has certain brands of yoghurt ... he has dairy allergies which he is slowly growing out of (yay!) - was the cause of very nasty eczema when he was smaller ... She has just recently started getting something that looks like eczema d...

mouth rash from yoghurt

Hi, I gave my 5 1/2 month old a tablespoon of yoghurt this afternoon for the first time and am worried about a spotty looking rash she has developed around her mouth since then. She is just starting out on solids. We are mostly using baby led weaning, so while she has had a suck on a few things, she...

We started using it because DD is one of the 30% of children with Autism who have a lot of trouble going to sleep because they don't naturally produce the right amount of melatonin. Thanks for answering my question. It sounds like you have had very challenging evenings! Did they test your DD for lo...

Hi, After seeing your post I had a look on the internet about the use of melatonin with children who do not sleep well - interesting. Can I ask what led you to using it? We are reaching the end of our tether with our DD (3years +4months) who is otherwise healthy but is still waking up to five times ...

I went with DD1 twice, but her sleep never got any better. Her sleep patterns are just a part of who she is and at 3 is still a terrible sleeper. DD2 however, is a real routine baby and really fits into the whole self settling thing. I have been using the techniques taught at one of the Melbourne sl...

If they are small surface holes then no gas should be required. Both my kids had their baby teeth fixed and never was gas used. Their only request was that the dentist not use "mr bumpy" - the bigger drill bit. It may have taken the dentist a bit longer but he got it done. This was our same experie...

If these guys are used to eating huge portions high in proteins and carbohydrates they might still be starving at the end of your (albeit more healthy and more healthily portioned) meal? You know Mira, you might be on to something. You've reminded me of something. When we were talking about how muc...

over due - updated pg 5

Thanks everybody. It was a great distraction during those last weeks to be able to offload my frustrations at going so overdue. What a trip that is! We have decided to call her Niamh (said Neve) and have not had a moment to work out her middle name. The birth was a wonderful experience. It flowed so...
