Re: Role play advice!

My top tip is learn and use your example phrases - eg 'many mothers find', 'research shows' etc from the learner guide. It probably sounds forced to you at the start but once it comes naturally it makes them so easy. Really don't sweat it. Your assessors want you to pass and your co-role-players wan...

Re: The 2017 declutter thread

I buy second-hand puzzles. If there's one or two pieces missing it doesn't actually bother me too much. I'll do them a couple of times and then re-donate them. That is likely my only contribution to this thread. I am not ready to embrace the decluttering yet. As long as I can find my benchtop and my...

Re: fabric for dress trial

Whatever is on sale for $2/m or less at the fabric discount bin. Seriously I have been known to use calico, super-cheap thin cotton or even unaligned checks (the horror!). The only reason it would matter is if your end result needs to be a particular weight to hang properly, but even so you can usua...

Re: Laser Eye Surgery

Hi Erin, Welcome back! That seems like an awfully long time to not be able to breastfeed after laser eye surgery. My husband had laser eye surgery some years ago now, and although he obviously wasn't breastfeeding, he had very few restrictions on what he could do, even immediately after the procedur...

Re: Keeping up supply without a pump

I should probably know this, but how old is she? It's a fairly individual question, but having lactated for as long as you have, your supply is probably pretty robust, it may reduce somewhat if you're not getting as much out, but should be able to increase similarly. Also, many mums find that they c...

Mummymanda maybe this means that there are quite a few perfect houses out there for you, so when you are ready another one will come along!

Everything gets emailed feebes. Check your email is correct on your login, check your junk folder, check your notification frequency, add mail.breastfeeding.asn.au to your safe sender list. Happy to help if none of what I've just said makes sense.

Re: Book ideas for a 7 year old

Ranger's Apprentice by ... I want to say John Flanagan? My 7 year old loves the 'Captain Underpants' series which are in no way highbrow but right where a 7 year old boy lives. I feel as if their subject matter is really designed to encourage reluctant readers but still a bit of grotty fun for the m...

Re: Night weaning

I did basically this: http://drjaygordon.com/attachment/sleeppattern.html Regardless of what you think of the rest of his philosophies, and honestly I found even the tone of that article a bit much sometimes, the basic premise seemed sound, and it worked well for us. That included the first week bei...

Re: Its OK. We can take a picture.

My kids play games with each other 'let's pretend you're dead' and I can't take it. I intervene and redirect, which is probably not best practice parenting but it's too close to home after experiencing the death of children in our extended family.

I saw you MM :) no introduction necessary - sorry I was kind of busy. When you come to conference as a freeloader you have to work for your accommodation :).
Thank you LTM for making me feel very welcome.

And I feel like an idiot because I saw Ronale a few times and only just put it all together...

Re: Trainee BC & CE Chat Thread

You can look up assessors in your region on the volunteer directory.
With regards to the vettrak login, training admin sent out an email with login details; if you can't lay your hands on it the easiest option will be to email or call HO.

Well done on your progress so far! :)
