Re: Weaning at 18 months

Thanks Ladies :). He has been feeding pretty regularly again so i am just going with it, but honestly I think I will drop the night feed soon and as wild child suggested, see what happens. Yankee - I remember your story so well too!! I had actually hoped he would make the decision once I stopped the...

Re: Weaning at 18 months

I should add that because of my supply issues, I suspect if he misses more that one feed, my supply will dry up very quickly, so i don't really have the choice of leaving it for a day or so to see how he goes - if he wanted it back i would probably have to go on medication again (which i weaned myse...

Weaning at 18 months

Hi Ladies. I haven't been around here for ages, but was hoping that the lovely village could give me some advice. Unbelievably, after supply issues, many, many bouts of mastitis, nipple thrush (which I have AGAIN at the moment) and a raft of stressful life events, I am still breastfeeding my 18 mont...

Feeding an 11 month old....

Hello lovely ladies. I have not been around for quite a while, but i hope it is ok to ask a question. DS2 is nearly 12 months old (where did that year go??). I went back to work when he was 9 months old and was expressing during the day, partly for supply and partly because i am hugely susceptible t...

expressing at work

Hi lovely support ladies!! I have been away from the forum for a while as life was insanely hectic, but I am hoping I can pop back to get some advice. DS2 is 9 months old and I have come back to work four days a week. I have a double pump that i have been using throughout his life for various reason...

Re: Kids sharing

DD is a brilliant sharer, unless her brother has done it first. She is the eternal oppositional child. If he shares, she says no. If he says no, she shares. It is more about the dynamic between the two of them than the sharing

Re: Facebook statuses you're not going to actually post

I have become totally addicted to baby wearing/wrapping, ironically having had my very very very last baby. So all i want to do is buy wraps i can't afford. One of the pluses to not living with/being financially intertwined with DS2's dad is that i don't have to justify buying one or two, but I can'...

Hugs from me too Feebes. I really hope that you find something that treats all of this and you start to feel much, much better. Fingers crossed the neurologist has some answers. I know it is hard via long distance, but if there is anything the forum can do, let us know (even if it is just meeting yo...

Re: Is this normal????

Hi, and congrats on your bub!! Yep, feeding every 2 - 3 hrs and the extended awake time overnight are both really really normal at that age. My bub was about 3 months before we could be relatively confident that waking for a feed would end with a return to sleep! As penguin said, getting a nap durin...

Re: Yay for breastfeeding

Yankee, Solids are going really well. Bubs is just eating a bit of what we have most of the time. He is a trouper!! Hasn't changed his demand for breast milk though (really hoped it would overnight, sigh). I am down to 4 tablets a day, and hoping to drop to 3 sometime soon, but i think i will wait a...
