Re: Brain overload

Oh ABL, that's a lot to process.

My DD was diagnosed with ASD three weeks ago and I still haven't been able to tell her or anyone else.

Re: Inappropriate 12y.o talk

Oh dear. I have nothing helpful to say, just that parenting this age group is really tough. It seems a very unusual thing for a 12 yo to say - is there something she may have been exposed to (at school, scouts, friend's house) that isn't what fits in with your family values (and appropriateness for ...

Re: The 2017 declutter thread

So I may not be top of the class on the decluttering front, but I do know that Mrs Moops could use her Allen Key skills to earn the Design Your Own badge, or the Hands badge, or the Home badge or the Life Skills badge! Lots of decluttering going on here - assisted by the neighbours being away and le...

Re: DS diagnosed with congenital heart disease

What a shock for you Pseudo. News like this is really difficult - I know there are some really good support groups of parents who will understand what you are feeling and what you are worried about, so it's good you've found some. JennyD is right - don't be googling....nothing good ever came of it. ...

Overlocker encouragement needed

This is so embarrassing.....just over two years ago I purchased a very good overlocker. It sits beautifully in its special cupboard inside my sewing table....BUT  I have never had it out of its wrappers - yes - it has never been used - I am too scared to use it....I've never used an overlocker...

Re: The 2017 declutter thread

Well, i've been spurred on .....the only helpful teenager in the house has taken a break from studying (yes, I gave birth to a conscientious student who actually revises and prepares over the summer holidays) and has collected all the CD Audio Books and is listing them on Freecycle as we speak

Quick!

Can we start a 2017 declutter thread, I was a dismal failure in 2016, but it's time for a new start!

Re: Ironing tea towels

I must confess that I iron the linen and most of the cotton tea towels.......also do the pillow cases and the tops of the flat sheets (the part that folds over).....i do know I'm crazy, but I like to see them looking all beautifully pressed.....

Re: Running a bit late this year!

Well, each year I set myself a goal of having the bulk of the Christmas Shopping done by 1st December - well there are 7 days to go .....

I have, however, written cards and prepared small gifts for my 23 Girl Guides - so at least that's something!

Re: Burning & Shooting Breast Pain - Thrush or Mastitis

Welcome to the forum Shanaz. It sounds like you're really having a tough time. I'm one of those annoying people who didn't really have any breastfeeding issues, so I urge you to call one of our counsellors on 1800 686 268 - they are fabulous and not only will they have some ideas for you, they won't...
