Re: Made to feel guilty over EBM feeding on occasions

This sounds very much like something you need to work through with your DP. I can imagine he feels 'inadequate' in some way, baby is crying everyone usually (in my experience) tries to hand the baby back to mummy! But of course babies cry when mummy is there too! How old is your bubba ? It may be th...

Re: Anxiety and breastfeeding?

Yes...absolutely.... I don't think it's really 'true' - more like an 'old wives tale'. Do you have a good support plan / treatment ? I found pregnancy hormones were pretty bad for my mental health...and breastfeeding ones were much calmer... but sleep deprivation and sleep disturbance was much worse...

Re: Testing testing 1 2 3....

Hiya, I have an 18, 15 and 10 year old. The eldest is doing information and communications and could likely get an Autism Spectrum diagnosis in the next few months... the middle one is struggling to manage his type 1 diabetes, but has new 'tech' arriving in the form of a glucose meter which stays pe...

Re: Hello

I'm here ! I'm still in Switzerland (nearly 10 years!) and the eldest is 17, other two children are 15 and 9. Eldest is doing great, studying languages, information and communications. Middle child is struggling to find a transition from school to work, he needs to study again next year and do a pre...

Re: Gifted kids

Yes... but mine were 'diagnosed' in Switzerland, not Australia. One is considered 'gifted' in languages, and the other had an extremely high IQ at age 6. They also have other challenges... perfectionism, low tolerance, high memory skills which are great for some things, but mean you remember all the...

Re: Breastfeeding with Laryngomalacia

Hopefully you get some positive answers and treatment soon! My first and third were quite severe refluxers and with the third one I had to find a balance between feeding to often or too far apart. Also, I kept him upright for 30 minutes after every feed. He eased into a strict 3 hourly feeding sched...

Re: Anyone here do big batch cooking?

I have tried to take a new approach in the past, but never quite worked out the system. However, my mum was a 'queen' of the leftovers... I hate to throw wasted food out, but I also do find that I clear the fridge out at least once a week of all the waste/surplus etc... My holiday project was to mea...

Re: Preventing mastitis? And good LC's in Ballarat.

Also, 'mastitis' can have a few different causes and there are other conditions which might be called 'mastitis' but aren't (eg. blocked ducts, engorgement).... mastitis at it's worst is an infection that benefits from strong antibiotics, but sometimes mums who are getting recurrent blockages/engorg...

Re: Jobs

You could also look at short courses via tafe in medical terminology or coding. It's a fairly specific skill. With a medical terminology course you can apply for a reception job in any sort of doctor's office - reception or medical typing... or at a hospital, it was a basic entry-level certificate t...
