Re: The 2017 declutter thread

So we have cleared out our office. Roughly 16 grocery bags of rubbish went. Total = 50 bags I can see the end in sight! We have a little bit to go but it's all manageable. I have made a deal with DS that if I get rid of a mountain of toys, he can have one new toy that he's really keen on. I'm really...

Anyone here have a child that's confirmed to be gifted that would be happy to chat privately? :)

Such a huge decision, it sounds like you are at peace with it?

WHO baby (ish)

My beautiful daughter turns two today and against the odds, we have managed to keep our breastfeeding relationship going :D I'm unsure how long we will continue for (probably looking at a few more months max) but I'm SO glad of the knowledge I've had from ABA and the forum to not just blindly wean o...

Holy moly, how long have I been on the forum for?! I'm guessing Mrs Moops isn't three anymore either!

Following this thread as we are going to shift our two into their own room/s soon.

Re: If money wasn't an issue

I'd work my horses... I'm finding more and more that I'm enjoying the time and results I get from them. I'd go to clinics ... and take the kids camping and travelling. ( a bit hard with Bulldog and his autism though) I wouldn't work... I'd follow my interests and come home to my farm. Ah, that is i...

Re: The 2017 declutter thread

Two bags of cloth nappies gone and roughly six bags of craft supplies we have never used and would irritate me to have floating around (cardboard) chucked! Total = 34 As a side note, my husband suggested we chuck out 2/3 of our belongings as "we own too much" (from the man who couldn't see the point...

Re: If money wasn't an issue

If money was unlimited, I would pay off the mortgages of two family members that I know need that (but do it anonymously so that they never feel a debt). I would make sure that our parents and children were provided for. I would donate money to causes that resonate with me. As the weather gets colde...

Re: Your techniques to calm down fast

There's a website that suggests finding a listening partner where you can vent for an hour a week to work through your own emotions. I'm investigating that at the moment. It's really hard to take that deep breath sometimes, but like you said, it's worth it. My husband is going to be home a lot more ...
